The current political and economic crisis in Pakistan

The top hottest states of Asia 2022

The year 2022 has been the year of political and economic instability for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan is in the race to be one of the developed economies and major economies.

The instability and political turmoil have been the biggest hindrance in the way of sophistication. Pakistan is entrenched in mounting inflation, political turmoil, economic instability, energy crisis, and above all corruption.

Amidst the chaos, the Support for the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is intensifying. The criteria for the continuously unstable politics of Pakistan are falling.

The previous ten weeks in the state have been unusually unsettled, and what settled with ousting of Ex-Prime minister Imran Khan. The state of Pakistan has a fresh rule after Imran Khan was ousted through a no-confidence motion.

Up until the ousting of Imran khan, Pakistan Parliament Houses, sectors, and all the institutions had seen the apex of disturbance and detriments.

The attention of the whole thing was just on the political instability that has ascended to the economic turmoil.

The weeks of dramatic and full maneuvering action have thrown Pakistan into an abysmal economic and political crisis. The new rule has been in a condition of assessment paralysis. The struggle to find the balance is creating wrongs and it does wonders.

On the other side, Imran Khan is leading the gatherings in different cities of Pakistan. He is continuously demanding fresh elections and questioning the justice of the current government. Imran khan is perceived as different from other powerful politicians when it comes to the leadership policies.

However, experts have even questioned his policies when he was in tenure.

The culture of the world is changing drastically apart from politics and economics. The most powerful impact is climate change.

In one fell swoop, Pakistan is in the command of a severe climate emergency as the temperatures are spiking and the record heat wave has cloaked Pakistan.

This is not a side factor. At one time, several factors have made a home in Pakistan. Both short-term and   Long-term impacts of instability on economic and political prospects are unfavorable.

Estimations are not favoring the prospects of Pakistan’s economy and politics.

The uncertainty in both political and economic uproar has yet to split up into unknown scenarios. The political flux, economic improbability, and turbulences are not finished with a positive outcome.

In Pakistan, the political arena without evidence or with evidence has often been a drama.

Although, the politically aware moves have been nothing but conspiracy or distraction. The biggest consequences are the economic magnitudes that are calamitous for underprivileged people. Business start-ups, economic health, flourishing industries, and yield are all at the verve of sluggish.

Furthermore, after all the political plans or plots, political parties start playing the blame game for each other for economic critical situations.

For ages, these games are going on. It has become a norm in Pakistani politics. This time around the economic chaos in the state is far greater than in previous blunders.

The economic budget presented is too much to bear for the majority of the populace of Pakistan. The prices of wearables, edibles, drinks, or anything related to human use are beyond affordability. People are cutting the maximum of their expenditures.

And the worst part is, prices are increasing with the days. The government formally presents the budget in the National Assembly or Parliament Houses. And consequently, the opposition and the leaders, and the ruling parties start blaming each other for the economic performance and the state of Pakistan.

In all the performances, poor people suffer the most as their life are critically affected.

The political war is now between the current ruling party PML-N and PTI. The PML-N is continuously blaming PTI and stating to people that PTI has raised the debt and deteriorated the economic condition.

The government of the ruling class must stop deceiving people as the performance are evident in the previous years.

The economic and political scenario requires significant improvement in numerous ways. Pakistan political crisis is the major reason for the state being too behind the world when it comes to technological advancements and revolution.

The biggest loss is only done to poor people who are getting poorer and poorer. For them, there is no way out.

Foreign debt is snowballing, production is slow, and people’s lives are not getting better with time.

Pakistan needs a good leader role, more educational opportunities for youth, economic stability, rules and regulations, the spreading of education, supports for economically weaker people, and more prominently, corruption-free institutions.

The snowballing petroleum and electricity prices are no different from the financial measures that have surely deteriorated the crisis.

There is no evident policy that is one-directional in the stabilization of the economy.  The initials that are much-needed for the structural reforms of the state are still missing.

The repeated disruption in the independent political process and the absenteeism of the longstanding restructuring strategies are the major cause of unsustainable economic growth.

Continuity in the policy of the economic growth is requisite. All the political parties must agree on the basic charter of the economy.

However, all political parties are doing nothing. People have become hapless and helpless and all they say is that they lost belief and confidence in the actions of political parties. All the major economies of the world have a strong political structure with rules and regulations.

The approaches of Pakistan’s political parties have done more harm to the state than did wonders. It has made the state a political volcano. The sorrows of ordinary Pakistanis are augmenting and they are paying the price for the nation’s long history of political instability.

The global healthcare pandemic of COVID-19 has caused huge damage to the economy. Still, the world is at the root of pandemic consequences.

The state must have to find a way, particularly, Pakistan which is a developing state. The developed economy of any nation necessitates good and stable politics and administration first and foremost. However, that is exactly the area where Pakistan has lost the drift.
